CPN Hosts Prevention Point Overdose Reversal Training

  • Calvary United Methodist Church 801 South 48th Street Philadelphia, PA, 19143 United States (map)

Cedar Park Neighbors is hosting a training on how to reverse an opiod overdose. The training will be conducted by Prevention Point Philadelphia, a long-time community based-organization that has worked with tens of thousands of community members struggling with the effects of opiod addiction.

Prevention Point will provide detailed training on how to obtain and administer Narcan, a life-saving medication that, when administered promptly to individuals who are experiencing an overdose, can save their lives.

Prevention Point will explain how people can purchase this over-the-counter medication with or without insurance. In addition, Cedar Park Neighbors is coordinating a pre-order with Prevention Point for Naloxone (generic Narcan) medication kits to be delivered to the training. The kits cost $40 each and contain Naloxone Nasal Spray, a pair of latex gloves, a breathing mask, and an Instructional Sheet.

If you wish to purchase a kit through the CPN pre-order and receive it while attending the training, please complete this form:

The deadline to complete this form and pay online is Monday, September 11th at Noon.  Unfortunately, we will not be accepting other forms of payment for this pre-order.

No RSVP or kit purchase is required to attend the training.
