Cedar Park Fair Committee
Organizes an annual autumn fair featuring food, crafts, local musical talent, and a raffle with prizes from neighborhood businesses.
Clean-Up Committee
Engages community residents and businesses in clean-up activities. Coordinates block clean-up days with Philadelphia More Beautiful and University City District.
Crime and Safety Committee
Monitors and responds to neighborhood crime and safety concerns.
Communicates neighbors’ concerns to law enforcement and community safety agencies.
Greening Committee — Block Improvement
Awards Block Improvement Grants to fund planting and maintenance of street trees and beds, front yards and sidewalk landscapes. Helps plan and make improvements.
Greening Committee — Events
Involves greening volunteers in tree planting and community landscape projects.
Collaborates with UC Green, Cross-Baltimore Tree Tenders, and Baltimore Avenue in Bloom.
Holiday Basket Committee
In cooperation with area churches, prepares and distributes holiday food baskets to neighborhood families in need.
Membership Committee
Encourages membership in CPN, coordinates volunteer involvement, publishes Cedar Park Neighbors Newsletter.
Scholarship Fund Committee
Awards scholarships to college-bound students who live in Cedar Park.
Zoning Committee
Monitors zoning notices, solicits community input about proposed zoning changes, communicates neighbors’ positions to city officials, intervenes in zoning disputes, and represents CPN before Zoning Board of Adjustment.
Property Taskforce
Goal is to develop effective strategies for addressing issues of vacant and blighted property and land within the Cedar Park Boundary through research, training, intervention, and advocacy
Block Organizing
Links Cedar Park Neighbors to a block captain or leader from each block within Cedar Park. Shares information, addresses common concerns and supports problem-solving and community-building. Organizes annual Block Leaders Conference.
Nominations Committee
Identifies slate of candidates for Cedar Park Neighbors Board of Directors.
Communications Committee
Maintains the Cedar Park Neighbors website and other forms of communicating with and among the membership.
